Saturday, April 23, 2005 Minnie Hamilton Oct. 31, 1912 – April 21, 2005 Minnie Hamilton, 92, Columbus, died at 4:28 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Heritage House of Salem. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of West Side Baptist Church, Salem, and the Salem Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star 286. She was a former employee of the old Smith Cabinet Manufacturing Co., Salem, and was a lifelong resident of Washington and Jackson counties. Born Oct. 31, 1912, at Vallonia, she was a daughter of Newton Hattabaugh and Josephine Fleenor Hattabaugh, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Irvin L. Hamilton, Columbus; a daughter, Marilyn S. Brewer, Salem; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, eight brothers and five sisters. Brother Robert Holler will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home, Salem, with burial at Mount Carmel Christian Cemetery, Campbellsburg. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
