Seymour Daily Tribune February 15, 2007 Peter Kevin Hammond Peter Kevin Hammond, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Fla. died Saturday, Feb. 10 at his home. Mr. Hammond was employed with Motorola for 26 years in Chicago as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, Fla., a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Canada and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chicago and Port St. Lucie. Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 14 years coming from Wood Dale, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Carmel Hammond, Port St. Lucie, Fla., five sons, Garrett Hammond, Greeley, Col., Peter Hammond Jr, Paul Hammond, and Mark Hammond, all of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and James Hammond, Lake Worth, Fla., a daughter, Barbara Spray, Seymour, a brother, Andrew Hammond, Brampton, Ontario, a sister, Mary Connors, Orangeville, Ontario, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass was conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, Fla. Visitation was Tuesday at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, Fla., where a prayer service was conducted at 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Treasure Coast Hospice, Port St. Lucie, FL.
