Seymour Daily Tribune May 20, 2002 Wilma Mary Caroline Beickman Harlow Wilma Mary Caroline Beickman Harlow, 92, Brownstown, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002, at her residence. Mrs. Harlow was an American Red Cross volunteer, an American Heart Fund volunteer and a Jackson County Fair volunteer. She attended beauty school in Indianapolis, and co-owned and operated Wil-Alma Beauty Salon in Salem during the late 1920s and early 1930s. Born April 4, 1910, in Brownstown, she was a daughter of George Beickman and Henrietta Schuerman Beickman, who both preceded her in death. On May 25, 1935, she married William Harlow and he died Jan. 16, 1982. She is survived by a son, William (Sharlene) Harlow, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Ann (Charles) Burgess, Brownstown; five grandchildren, Denise Harlow, Albany, N.Y., Brian (Melinda) Harlow, Amarillo, Texas, Amy Harlow, Villa Rica, Ga., Beth Ann Schoenherr, West Collingswood, N.J., and Andrew Schoenherr, Voorhees, N.J.; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Elda (Ted) Decker, Lafayette; a sister-in-law, Alma (Everette) Williams, Salem; three nieces; and three nephews. She also was preceded by a brother, Ish Beickman. The Rev. Jack Belk and the Rev. Jeff Geisler will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran High School, Hospice of Jackson County Memorial Hospital or the donor’s choice.
