Seymour Tribune - January 2009 Sandra S. "Sandy" Hatton Sandra S. "Sandy" Hatton, 69, Columbus, and formerly of Seymour, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She worked for her son Greg as secretary at the Seymour NAPA. Sandy was a wonderful wife and loving mother as she was all about her family. She loved being with them always and enjoyed the special time with each one of them especially shopping. One of Sandy's hobbies was collecting antique and bridal dolls. She was an Elvis Presley fan, and she loved to listen to his music and was fortunate to see him in concert many times. Born May 29, 1939, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Lawrence "Bud" and Violet Rich Ruddick, who preceded her in death. On June 30, 1957, she married William "Bill" D. Hatton, in Seymour. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Cindy (Denny) Oakes and Stacie (Todd) Perry; a son, Greg (Marcia) Hatton; a brother, Don (Carolyn) Ruddick; a very special motherly figure, Ella Mae Hollowell; nine grandchildren, Dustin Crussel, Kyle Muncy, Demi Oakes, Ryan Hatton, Tyler Hatton, Bryce Hatton, Erika Hatton Perry, Kristy Perry and Jerimey Perry; and three step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Rev. Bruce E. Cochran and the Rev. Roy Hendershot will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss dove release.
