Seymour Tribune - January 2009 William W. "Bill" Hawkins 1938 - 2009p William W. "Bill" Hawkins, 70, Bloomington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at his son's residence in Brownstown. Mr. Hawkins was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a pipe fitter for Union Hall Local 136. Born April 9, 1938, at Bonnieville, Ky., he was the son of Joseph and Evalena Williamson Hawkins, both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, William J. (Bill) (Kathy) Hawkins, Brownstown, and Allen E. (Terri) Hawkins, Seymour; grandchildren, Adam, Dustin, Kelly, Kayla, Tanner; a brother; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sue Eads Hawkins, and his brother, Floyd Hawkins. The Rev. Donald Gardner will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Day Funeral Home, Bloomington. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
