Seymour Daily Tribune December 13, 2006 Louise Haws April 8, 1918 - Dec. 11, 2006 Louise Haws, 88, Brownstown, formerly of Medora, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Haws was a homemaker and worked at Medora Plastic Factory for 20 years. She taught Sunday school at Medora Christian Church and was a member of Brownstown Chapter Eastern Star #264. She sold bonds for Hoosier Christian Village building project, was a Key Lady at the village, a blood donor for the Jackson County Chapter of the American Red Cross for several years, was a member of Medora Senior Citizens and played in a kitchen band. Born April 8 1918, in Terre Haute, she was a daughter of Edgar Robinson and Edna Matlock Robinson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Leslie Pfenning, Tyler Lawson and Herman Haws, all of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Ida (Don) Sitterding, Norman, and Geneva DeBell, Bloomington; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Fred Wyrick, Terre Haute, and Dean Wyrick, Illinois; and one half-sister, Alma Hoopingarer, west Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by four half-brothers, Orville, Claude, Hubert, and James Wyrick. Minister David Ison will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will take place at Kurtz Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Brownstown Chapter #264 service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
