Seymour Tribune - June 6, 2009 Mrs. Marian (Harger) Henderson 1922 - 2009 Marian Henderson, 86, of Brownstown and formerly of Medora, passed away at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Henderson was a member of Medora Christian Church and was a homemaker. She went to church 53 years without missing a Sunday. She loved sewing and puzzle books. Born June 17, 1922, in Chesterton, she was the daughter of Charles Grinkle and Laura "Laurie" Grinkle Harger, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Doyle Winfred Henderson, who preceded her in death in 1981. Survivors include a son, Glen Robert (Peggy) Henderson, Medora; brothers, Ronald Harger, North Vernon, and Terry Harger, Indianapolis; sister, Bernice Braden, Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren, Carla (Steve) Machak, Marc (Kim) Henderson, Tami Henderson and Christopher Allen; three great-grandchildren, Tiffany Henderson, Christopher Henderson and Matthew Burke; and two great-great-grandchildren, Riley Henderson and Ayden Burke. She was preceded in death by a half brother, Alan Harger, and a sister, Loraine Combs. Pastor Greg Underwood will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora. Burial will take place at Leesville Cemetery in Lawrence County. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
