Seymour Daily Tribune May 10, 2002 Phillip D. Henderson Phillip D. Henderson, 57, of Freetown died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mr. Henderson was retired from Cummins Engine Co., and had been a foster parent for 24 years. He was a Vietnam veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Diesel Workers Union and Houston Christian Church. Born Nov. 7, 1944, in North Vernon, he was a son of George and Irene Axom Henderson. Both survive in Columbus. On Jan. 22, 1969, he married Becky D. Winkler. She died Dec. 20, 1995. He lived most of his life in Jackson County. Other survivors include five daughters, Gloria Davidson, Brownstown, Tina Gravett, Columbus, Becky Eldridge, North Vernon, Kathy Henderson, Austin, and Abbey Henderson, at home; a son, David Henderson, at home; and three sisters, Judy Goddard, Phyllis Henderson and Bonnie Baurley, all of Columbus. A granddaughter preceded him in death. David Fisher will conduct services at 1 p.m. Monday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown, with burial to follow at Houston Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Henderson Family Trust Fund.
