Donna Lee Hensley
Donna Lee Hensley, 69, a lifetime Crothersville resident, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Hensley was a 1957 Crothersville High School graduate, was formerly employed at the old U.S. Shoe Corp. for more than 20 years, worked at Cummins Engine Co. and retired from Hendrix Box Co. in Brownstown. Donna was a woman of faith, enjoyed attending hymn sings and loved traveling and being with her family. She was an avid reader and liked working with her flowers.
Born Jan. 26, 1939, in Retreat, she was the daughter of Albert (March 21, 2004) and Claris L. (April 20, 2005) (Donahue) Niewedde both of whom preceded her in death. On March 21, 1959, in Uniontown, she married Billy G. "Bill" Hensley, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1998.
Survivors include two children and their spouses, a son, Kevin Glen (Tanita) Hensley, Crothersville, a daughter Lucinda Gale (Wayne) Minton, Crothersville; one grandson, Caleb Tyler Minton, Crothersville; four granddaughters, Katrina Denise (Michael) Prince, Crothersville, Sabrina Nicole Thompson, Crothersville, Kylie Rae Hensley, Crothersville, Piper Mechele Hensley, Crothersville; great-grandchildren, Isaac Michael Thompson, Crothersville, Madison "Maddie" Lynn Thompson, Crothersville, and was expecting a third great-grandchild on Jan. 15, 2009; three brothers, Albert "Sonny" Niewedde, Crothersville, Fred (Bernadine) Niewedde, Crothersville; and her twin, Donald "Super" Niewedde, Austin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Cana Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
