Elizabeth Jane Hill, 87, of Bedford and formerly of Medora, died at 2:53 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Medora Christian Church and was a 1937 graduate of Medora High School. She was a switchboard operator at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. in Milan, Mich., for several years. She moved back to Medora in the early 1980s.
Born March 20, 1919, in Sparksville, she was a daughter of Donley B. Hill and Ora Armstrong Hill, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Howard Seitz, who died in 1973. In 1988, she married Gene Hill, who survives at Bedford.
Other survivors include three nephews, Roger Baker, Medora, Robert D. Hill II, North Vernon, and Max Hill, Medora; two nieces, Nancy Pollert, Seymour, and Julia Snodgrass, Floyds Knobs; and a sister-in-law, Jo Anne Hill, Seymour.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Donley Hill; a twin sister, Mary Louise Baker; a sister, Kathryn Smith; and a niece, Janet Shawver.
The Rev. Stan Thomas will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will take place at Weddleville Cemetery near Medora.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Weddleville Cemetery.
