Seymour Tribune - April 28, 2007 Herman Gene Hill Aug. 22, 1915 – April 27, 2007 Herman Gene Hill, 91, formerly of Medora, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at his residence, Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bedford. Mr. Hill was a member of Medora Christian Church and was a World War II Army veteran. He worked for the B &: O Railroad and was a retired farmer. Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Monrovia, he was a son of Laurel M. Hill and Edna Blair Hill, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Mary Martin Hill, who preceded him in death. He then married Elizabeth Jane Seitz Hill, who preceded him in death Oct. 29, 2006. Survivors included a nephew, Max Hill, Medora; a niece, Barbara Hallet, North Vernon. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther, Lucien, Nolan and Ross Hill. The Rev. Stan Thomas will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will take place at Old Weddleville Cemetery, Medora, with graveside military rites. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
