Don David Hohnstreiter, 57, Seymour, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Hohnstreiter was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 35 years.
Born Dec. 29, 1948, at Seymour, he was a son of John W. and Elizabeth M. "Betty" Shinkle Sweet Hohnstreiter, both of whom preceded him in death. On Sept. 12, 1970, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, he married Peggy Jo Weaver, who survives in Seymour.
Other survivors include three children, William Lee Hohnstreiter, Christopher Michael Hohnstreiter and Michelle Donn Hohnstreiter; nine grandchildren, Brittany, Zachery, Dakota, Austin, Corbin, Christian, Madison, Braeden and Megan; seven sisters, Janet Williams, Jonette Karen Johnson, Reah Hamilton, Roschia Beach, Greta Hansen, Judy Carpenter and Gloria Massey; and three brothers, Bud Sweet, Tom Hohnstreiter and John W. "Hank" Hohnstreiter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Hutchinson, and eight brothers, John Denny Hohnstreiter, Delbert Sweet and Bill, Bob, Roscoe, Dallas, Rolland and Hubert Hohnstreiter.
The Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Voss Funeral Service to help with funeral expenses.
