Seymour Daily Tribune March 1, 2002 Emmer G. Holland Emmer G. Holland, 84, Austin, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Scott Memorial Hospital. Mr. Holland was retired from Morgan Foods, Austin, and was a member of House of Prayer, Austin. Born June 10, 1917, in Breathitt County, Ky., he was a son of Anderson Gross and Maggie Gilbert Gross. On Dec. 10, 1936, he married Bess Holland, who survives in Austin. Other survivors include two sons-in-law, Carl T. Rose and Fred Lewis Jr.; three daughters, Thelma Rose and Lillie Lewis, both of Austin, and Alein Huff, Greenwood; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Gross, Newport, Ky.; and two sisters, Grace Case, Newport, Ky., and Vicie Sebastain, Harrison. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kelsie Richardson. The Rev. Bobby Spicer will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery, Austin. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
