Seymour Tribune - October 2008 Evelyn M. (Ahlbrand) Holle 1916 - 2008 Evelyn M. Holle, 92, Seymour, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Lutheran Community Home. Mrs. Holle attended Valparaiso University for two years and worked as a bookkeeper for her father's company, Ahlbrand Chevrolet. Later she was employed at the family business, Hoosier Feed Store. She also worked as a teller for Seymour National Bank. Mrs. Holle was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was also a charter member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she served as a member of the choir, Altar Guild and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She also volunteered at Lutheran Community Home for many years. Born Aug. 26, 1916, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Ephraim and Alma Droege Ahlbrand, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 6, 1948, Evelyn married Howard Leland Holle, who preceded her in death Feb. 19, 2000. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Ronald) Terkhorn, Seymour, and Susan (Keith) Kanipe, Fishers; four grandchildren, Jeff (Michaela) Terkhorn, Stuttgart, Germany, Holle (Matthew) Psota, Columbus, Michael Terkhorn, Indianapolis and Brelyn Kanipe, Fishers; four great-grandchildren, Anna and Zoe Terkhorn, both of Stuttgart, Germany, and Benjamin and Elijah Psota, both of Columbus; a brother-in-law, Murrel (Frances) Holle, Seymour; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice (Alberta) Ahlbrand and Robert (Louise) Ahlbrand, and two sisters, Dorothy (William) Schepman and Jean (Jim) Karsten. The Rev. Jeffrey Stuckwisch will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
