Horning, 75, of Seymour R3 died at 5 a.m. today at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital. His health was failing for 10 years. Mr. Horning was a farmer and worked at Seymour Woolen Mill until his health failed. Bron at Chestnut Ridge on Sept. 15, 1909, he was a son of John and Maude Edwards Horning. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mr. Horning is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emory (Helen) Smith of Seymour R3; a niece, Mrs. Darryl (Bonnie) Charlton of Seymour R3; and two nephews, Thomas Horning of Indianapolis and Donald Horning of Lake View, Mich. A brother and a sister preceded Mr. Horning in death. The Rev. Paul Huddleston will conduct services at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery Fund.
