Seymour Tribune - April 29, 2008 Clara Belle (Miser) Horton 1915 - 2008 Clara Belle Horton, 92, Seymour, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mrs. Horton was a member of Vardy Presbyterian Church. She was a school bus driver for approximately 50 years. She drove for Owen Township Schools and for the Brownstown Central School System. Born Nov. 7, 1915, in Sneedville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Logan and Nancy Collins Miser. On April 3, 1931, in Pineville, Ky., she married Daniel B. Horton, Sr. who preceded her in death March 16, 1966. Mr. Horton was a Spanish American War veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Lorene Otting; son, Dr. Daniel B. (Helen) Horton, Jr.; grandchildren, Celeste Otting (David) Prusha, Sherry Otting (Brian) Richards, David (Rhonda) Otting, D.B. (Marie) Horton III and Gretchen Horton (Dr. Mark) Zolman; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Delp, Blane Delp, Blair Richards, Leah Richards, Zodic Belle Otting, Zori Zeanna Otting, Erika Horton, Daniel Horton IV, Elizabeth Zolman, Kathryn Zolman and Tessa Zolman. She was preceded in death by siblings, Grace Taylor, Roy Miser, Oppie Miser, Lilly Ann Grohse, Walter Miser, May Johnson, Edith Roth, Ernest Miser, Gladys Feegle, Florence Williams and Cecil Miser, and two siblings who died in infancy. The Rev. Jon Carlstrom will conduct funeral services at 7 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
