Mildred L. Schlomer Howard
Mildred L. Schlomer Howard, 77, of Elnora and formerly of Seymour, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Daviess Community Hospital after several weeks’ illness.
Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and was a member of Irvington Eastern Star 364.
Born May 7, 1924, in Lawrenceville, Ill., she was a daughter of Jacob Schlomer and Elizabeth Schneider. On Dec. 25, 1950, she married Arthur Howard.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Mae McKinney, Houston, Texas, and Mary L. Martin, Greensburg; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Cecelia Moran, Brownsburg.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and a grandson, David Allan Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home in Odon. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
