Seymour Daily Tribune December 14, 2006 Leroy E. Hoy Dec. 3, 1941 - Dec. 13, 2006 Leroy E. Hoy, 65, Seymour, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Hoy was a U.S. Army veteran who worked at Bowman Car Sales for 12 years and Home Health Care in North Vernon for a year and a half. He was an avid horse-racing fan and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Eagles Club and Moose Club. Born Dec. 3, 1941, in Freemont, Ohio, he was a son of John and Marjorie Ottney Hoy, both of whom preceded him in death. In January 1992, in Louisville, he married Dorothy L. "Dottie" Roberts Allman, who survives. Other survivors include two children, John Lee (Lisa) Hoy and Coleen Reneé Hoy; a stepson, Tony Ray (Reneé) Allman; five grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, Tristan, Ricky and Michael Hoy; a stepgrandson, Eric Allen (Elizabeth) Allman; a great-grandson, Tyler Allman; a brother, James Moe (Sherri) Hoy; and four sisters, Donna (Herman) Gerkensmyer, Judith (Kenneth) Cantrell, Sharon Schuett and Roslyn Busdecker. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. At 3 p.m., the VFW will present a flag, followed by a Voss & Sons dove release. Memorial s may be given to Schneck Medical Cancer Center.
