Seymour Daily Tribune December 11, 2006 Cornelia Mae Huber Aug. 2, 1909 - Dec. 8, 2006 Cornelia Mae "Connie" Huber, 97, of Greenwood and formerly of Seymour, died at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Regency Place of Greenwood. Mrs. Huber resided in Jackson County for 85 years and enjoyed quilting, sewing and music. She was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Seymour and was involved in the Kum Join Us Sunday School Class. She was a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of First United Methodist Church, and an active member throughout her life. She organized a Mother's Club at Trinity Methodist Church which was known as The Cradle Roll. While in Greenwood, she was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church and attended the Home Builders Class. She was a member of Jackson County Craft Club and Suburban Extension Homemakers Club and was a former volunteer with Jackson County Hospital Guild. Born Aug. 2, 1909, in Seymour, she was a daughter Edward H. and Dora Pfaffenberger Miller, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 12, 1932, in Louisville, she married Merrill R. Huber, who died Oct. 10, 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Beth (Ernest) Ward, Greenwood; a brother, the Rev. Robert H. (Marjorie) Miller, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and her "other sister," Mary E. Huber. She was preceded in death by a brother, George D. Miller, and a sister, Carol Dena Klein. The Rev. Steve Cherry and the Rev. Robert H. Miller will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church of Seymour or The Quilters Club of Greenwood United Methodist Church.
