Seymour Daily Tribune February 22, 2002 William L. Huffman William L. Huffman, 76, Seymour, died at 5:35 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Heritage House of Seymour after being ill for several years. Mr. Huffman was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired electrician. Born May 17, 1925, in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was a son of William I. Huffman and Anna C. Emerick. On Nov. 24, 1981, in Knoxville, Tenn., he married Barbara Allen, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, William Huffman and Jerry Huffman; a daughter, Cindy Curry; two stepdaughters, Cindy Gambrel, Cortland, and Carol Crump, Brownstown; a sister, Florence Jobes; several grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Charles Huffman, and a stepdaughter, Patti Henry. Rudy Hamblin will conduct services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.
