Seymour Daily Tribune Curtis Hughes August 3, 2006 Curtis Hughes, 68, Seymour, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Hughes was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Crothersville. Born June 21, 1938, he was a son of Cecil and Doshia White Hughes. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Chavis, Ky. On March 11, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he married Zola Stacy, who survives. Other survivors include seven children, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Patterson, Curtis Hughes Jr., Tammy Lou Hughes, Carl Lynn Hughes, Daniel Lee (Lisa) Hughes, James Randall (Donna) Hughes and Patricia (Lathie) Claxton; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Woody Hughes, Elbert Hughes, Freddy Hughes, all of Kentucky, and Chad Hughes, Austin; and four sisters, Jeanette Hall, Gertrude Hughes, Mary Boling, all of Kentucky, and Rosie Shelton, Mitchell. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Andrew Hughes. The Rev. Sam White will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Whites and Robert Cemetery in Scott County. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Church of Lord Jesus Christ.
