Hazel Irene Isaacs

Hazel Irene Isaacs, 83, Seymour, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.
Mrs. Isaacs was a homemaker, a member of Cortland Christian Church and a foster parent.
Born July 5, 1923, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Chester and Gladys Martin Wayt, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 2, 1946, she married Marvin Herbert Isaacs, who died Aug. 13, 2001.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy Darswad and Debbie Scharbrough; two sons, Dan Isaacs and Mike Isaacs; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Goldie Sutton, Delores Fields, Jeanie Wayt and Florence LaVerne Gorbett. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Frank, Russell and Milton Kenneth Wayt, and a sister, Nina Mae Maschino.
Her son, Mike Isaacs, will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Graveside services will be conducted at Acme Cemetery in Jackson County.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Cortland Christian Church.
