Seymour Tribune - March 2009 Loren C. "Jack" Jackson 1923 - 2009 Loren C. "Jack" Jackson, 85, Pendleton, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Du Quoin, Ill., and was a Pendleton resident since 1963. He was a Seymour resident from 1947 to 1963. He was co-owner and operator with his late wife, Anna Rita French Jackson, of Lang's Jewelry Store in Pendleton from 1964 to 1999. He was a 1943 graduate of Du Quoin Township High School and attended Bradley University School of Watchmaking, Peoria, Ill. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Fortville; Elks Lodge, Seymour; AMVETS Post, Pendleton; Indiana Horological Association; and the American Watchmakers Institute. Survivors include three sons, Stephen L. (Melissa) Jackson, Markleville, Daniel C. (Patricia) Jackson, Pendleton, and Michael E. Jackson, Alexandria; a brother, Louis Jackson, Elizabethtown; a sister, Irma Michael, Du Quoin, Ill.; six grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, David, Karoline, Patrick and Benjamin; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Gertrude Viola Campbell Jackson; his wife, Anna Rita French Jackson; a grandson, Gregory M. Jackson; and two brothers, Kenneth Jackson and Paul Eugene Jackson. A Mass of Christian burial is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Fortville, with Father Joseph Pesola officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton.
