Seymour Daily Tribune Agnes L. Jaynes October 17, 2006 Agnes L. Jaynes, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital in Alabama. Mrs. Jaynes lived most of her life in the Seymour area. In 2005, she moved to Alabama, and at the time of her death was residing at Wesley Acres in Decatur, Ala. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle in Seymour and First Apostolic Church in Decatur. Born April 2, 1921, in Seymour, she was a daughter of the Evin Arnold and Gladys Wineinger Winkler, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 3, 1938, she married Frank Jaynes, who died Feb. 25, 1986. Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Janet) Jaynes and Jerald (Debra) Jaynes, both of Seymour, and Derald Jaynes, Houston, Texas; three daughters, Linda (the Rev. Fred) Shepard, Trinity, Ala., Terry (Josh) Voss, Decatur, Ala., and Marsha (Fred) Rossback, Anderson, S.C., a sister, Margie Pierce, North Vernon; two nieces whom she raised like her children, Carol Moore, Indiana, and Gloria R. Cockerham, Abbyville, S.C.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Frankie and Larry Jaynes, and two brothers, Don and Johnny Arnold. Brother Larry Arrowood and Brother Dennis Allman will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, where she will be buried beside her beloved husband. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
