Seymour Tribune - January 04, 2005 Bernice Irene Jaynes Jan. 16, 1925 - Jan. 3, 2005 Bernice Irene Jaynes, 79, Seymour, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Jaynes was a former employee of Arvin, Dicksons, Seymour Electronics, the canning factory in Seymour and Brownstown and Parker Files. She was a laborer for 60 years. Mrs. Jaynes was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Born Jan. 16, 1925, at Seymour, she was the daughter of Herman and Leona Runge Hildebrand. She married Millard Jaynes Sept. 27, 1941, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Danny Joe Jaynes; five grandchildren, Douglas L. Jaynes, Lisa L. Jaynes Land, Anthony L. Jaynes, Michael L. Jaynes and Leanna G. Jaynes; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald L. Jaynes; a brother, Ralph Hillenbrand; and two sisters, Frances Bevers and Ruth Ruthford. The Rev. Andrew Currao and the Rev. Paul Schlueter will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Jackson County Hospice or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
