Seymour Daily Tribune Claude R. Jaynes services Tuesday December 17, 1984 Claude R. Jaynes, 91, of 706 E. Brown St., Seymour, died at 6:24 a.m. Sunday at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for three years. Mr. Jaynes was a member of Glenlawn Pentecostal Church. He was retired from Blish Milling Co., where he had worked for many years. Born in Jackson County on Nov. 28, 1893, he was the son of William O and Lorena Wilcutt Jaynes. He was a lifelong resident of the county. Mr. Jaynes married Fannie F. Wilkerson in Seymour on Aug. 15, 1921. She survives. Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Lucas of Seymour R3. Mrs. Willard (Norma) Strom of Victoria, Ill. Mrs. David (Mildred) Jaeger and Mrs. Joseph (Sandra) Asher, both of Seymour, four sons, Roscoe N. Jaynes of Elizabethtown, and Harold Jaynes, Homer Jaynes and Wilbur Jaynes, all of Seymour; a brother, DeWitt Jaynes of Seymour; 28 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren. Three daughters, two sons , six brothers, three sisters and three great-grandchildren preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. The Revs. Elmore Smith and Ray Comer will officiate. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 11:30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday.
