Seymour Tribune - April 8, 1992 DeWitt Jaynes DeWitt Jaynes, 101 Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, and formerly of Indianapolis, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the nursing home after an illness of one year. He was a flour miller at Acme Evans Co., Indianapolis, and a member of New Hope Church of the Brethren, Jackson County. Born Feb. 7, 1891, in Jackson County, he was a son of William O. and Lorraine Wilcut Jaynes. He moved to Indianapolis from Seymour in 1965. On May 27, 1916 he married Lottie M. Robbins. She died Feb. 27, 1991. Survivors include a son, Donald C. Jaynes, Seymour; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by severn brother, three sisters, a daughter and a son. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Voss and Sons Chapel, Seymour. The Rev. O.D. Kern will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at Voss Chapel. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
