Seymour Tribune Donald Charles Jaynes 1918 - 2008 Donald Charles Jaynes, 90, Seymour, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Lutheran Community Home. Mr. Jaynes was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He graduated from Washington High School, Indianapolis and retired from Cummins Engine Co., Columbus, and farming. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Born on Jan. 25, 1918, in Indianapolis, he was the son of DeWitt and Lottie Keller Jaynes, both of whom preceded him in death. On July 11, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, he married Evelyn Hackman Jaynes, who survives. Other survivors include daughters, Yvonne (Cleo)?Willhite, Kris (Richard) Schepman, Jackie (John) Wienhorst and Jennifer (Troy) Grimes; sons, Denny Jaynes, Steve (Jane)?Jaynes and Ed (Janet)?Jaynes,; seven grandchildren, Greg Schepman, Drew Schepman, Amos Wienhorst, Colt Wienhorst, Kassi Wienhorst Thea Wehmiller and William Jaynes; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Jaynes. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Brownstown Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
