The Tribune Seymour, Indiana March 20, 2016 Nona Mae Jaynes 1938 - 2016 Nona May Jaynes, 77, of Seymour passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at her home. Born April 22, 1938, she was the daughter of Alvin and Florence McFatridge Hallett, both of whom preceded her in death. On December 8, 1962, she married Wilbur D. Jaynes who survives. Nona was retired from H.O. Canfield Co. where she worked as a splicer. She was a member of Seymour Seventh Day Adventist and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed working with crafts, reading, going to the park to watch softball, watching football and especially the Colts and Peyton Manning. Nona also really loved being with her grandkids. Other survivors besides her husband of 53 years include her children, Dale (Maria) Caplinger of Laredo, Texas, Debra (Chris) Caplinger-Ward of Westfield, Janet (Ernie) Davidson of Seymour and Joyce (Charles) Early of Saucier, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Kandle (Jason) Hall, Chris (Nicole) Caplinger, Craig (Jessica) Caplinger, Cameron Caplinger, Willard Freeman II, Brent Freeman, Seth (Betsy) Davidson, Wendee Pickett, Lindsay Couch, Jessica Downs and Cory Ward; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Sydney, Peyton, Eric, Ezra, Warren, Michael, Chloe, John, Emily, Addie, Marcus, Jace and Jasmine. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Laikyn Fields. The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Seymour Seventh Day Adventist or the donor's choice of charity.
