Seymour Daily Tribune Mary Luella Jerrell November 17, 2006 March 9, 1921 - Nov. 16, 2006 Mary Luella Jerrell, 85, Seymour, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at her residence in Seymour. Mrs. Jerrell worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory and was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church. She dearly loved her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to caring for others. Born in Shelby County on March 9, 1921, she was the daughter of Haskel Blaine and Sylvia May (Carpenter) Alexander, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 25, 1939, she married Mulford C. Jerrell in Columbus, who survives. Survivors include a daughter Cindy (Mike) Foster; two grandchildren Whitney and Corey Foster, and sisters, Jean (George) Bohall, Christine Zickler, Sophia Stanfield, Nancy (Robert) Malone and Ruth (Neal) Murphy. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Alexander, Naomi Williams, and June Eglhaut, and brother Robert Alexander. The Rev. Sam Davenport and Rev. Rick Grant will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Central Christian Church or donor's choice.
