Seymour Daily Tribune February 5, 2002 Cephus L. Johnson Cephus L. “Elvis” Johnson, 61, LaPorte, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City. Mr. Johnson was a security officer with O’Brian Enterprises and also worked as an Elvis impersonator. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Born Oct. 28, 1940, in Austin, he was a son of Cephus E. Johnson and Maxine Browning Johnson. He married Dora Carper, who survives in LaPorte. Other survivors include two daughters, Kellie Neal, Columbus, and Shellie Johnson, Indianapolis; a sister, Jeri Shell, Seymour; a brother, Buck Johnson, Seymour; and a half sister, Kathy Snow, Kentucky. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte. Family and friends may gather from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
