Submitted by: Wendy Engleking Seymour Daily Tribune James Cletus Johnson James Cletus Johnson, 70, of Jackson Park Convalesent Center in Seymour and formerly of Seymour R. 7 died at 11p.m. Friday November 9, 1990 at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital. He had been ill since 1975. Mr. Johnson attended Rockford United Methodist Church and had worked at Abraham and Sons in Seymour. Born November 18, 1919 at Medora, he was a son of the late Elbert and Mary Schmitt Johnson. He married Arvilla Mae Shelton on March 10, 1945, in Brownstown and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter Wilma "Wendy" (Jerry) Engleking of Seymour R. 1, a son Harold Johnson of Georgia; a step daughter Wanda (Ron) Reynolds of Medora. Two sisters Elberta Schneck of Seymour and Thelma Lankow of Oregon. Six grandchildren, six step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a step great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday from Voss Chapel in Seymour. Burial will be in Hayden Cemetery.
