Mary Elizabeth Johnson
Mrs Mary Elizabeth Johnson, 91, died suddenly at 6:50 a.m. May 3, 1975, in the Lutheran Community Home. She had been in failing health for several years.
She was a house wife and a member of the Rockford Methodist Church. She was born July 24, 1883 in Rockford to the late John and Eva. M. Schwartz Schmitt.
On November 30, 1910 in Columbus she married Elbert Johnson, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1942.
Survivors include 1 daughter Elberta Schneck of Seymour; 1 son James C. Johnson of Seymour, 1 step daughter Thelma Lankow of Forrest Grove, Oregon ; 1 sister Emma Taylor of Franklin; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from Voss Chapel with Rev. Dale Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
