Seymour Daily Tribune May 8, 2002 Sue Ellen Jones Sue Ellen Jones, 54, North Vernon, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Jones taught kindergarten, first grade and third grade at North Vernon Elementary School from 1971 to 1999, then began teaching third grade at Brush Creek Elementary School to the present time. She was a 1966 graduate of North Vernon High School and a 1970 graduate of Indiana University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Vernon and the Indiana State Teachers Association, and was a Rainbow for Girls, Past Worthy Advisor in North Vernon. She assisted the Jennings County High School Choral Department productions for 18 years, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and cooking. Born April 6, 1948, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Edward Ellsworth Coquerille and Martha Miller Coquerille, who both preceded her in death. On March 24, 1979, at the First United Methodist Church, North Vernon, she married Stephen Jones and he survives in North Vernon. She also is survived by a son, Seth Edward Jones, Bloomington; a daughter, Molly Rebekah Jones, Bloomington; and three brothers, Dennis Coquer-ille, Hayden, David Coquer-ille, Vernon, and Donald Coquerille, Rocky Face, Ga. She also was preceded by a brother, Daniel Clyde Coquerille. The Rev. Lance Marshall will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, North Vernon. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery, Vernon. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon, and from noon until time of services Friday at the church.
