Seymour Tribune - June 5, 2007 Vaughn Charles Keith Feb. 19, 1918 – June 3, 2007 Vaughn Charles Keith, 89, Seymour, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Heritage House of Seymour. Mr. Keith served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a printer for Graessle-Mercer for 40 years. He retired in 1985. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and attended Seymour Christian Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 89 and a former member of the Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Born Feb. 19, 1918, in Jackson County, he was a son of John W. and Margaret Louvine Dobbins Keith, both of whom preceded him in death. On July 1, 1972, in Hartsville, Tenn., he married Marilian Lee, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Donna C. (William) Gottfried, Seymour, and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his first wife; two brothers, Ralph W. Keith and Roy Keith; and three sisters, Alice Keith Quinn, Zella Margaret Gehringer and Elsie Keith. The Rev. Bill Lockman will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 89, VFW Post 1925, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour.
