Seymour Tribune - October 2008 Robert J. "Bob" Ketchum 1950 - 2008 Robert J "Bob" Ketchum, 58, formerly of Moberly, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at his residence in South Bend. Mr. Ketchum was originally from Avon, Ill., where he graduated from high school in 1968. He graduated from Western Illinois University and also graduated from Banking School in Madison, Wis. He pursued a long career in the banking and financial industry. Bob was an avid sports fan and was a devout Yankees, Cubs and Notre Dame fan. He was also a strong supporter of Moberly High School athletics. He loved to play golf and in his younger days was an excellent fast pitch softball player. He was of the Catholic faith and active in his local parish. He also enjoyed being a part of and serving his community through membership in various organizations. He was a devoted father and grandfather and always placed his love for his family first. Born Oct. 12, 1950, he was the son of Charles Rex and Elva Louise Smith Ketchum, Springfield, Ill., both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include four loving daughters, Monica R. (David) Hartung, Seymour, Sarah L. Ketchum, Chicago, and Jennifer C. and Kathleen A. Ketchum, both of Moberly, Mo.; four grandchildren whom he loved and cherished, Andrew and Christine Mozingo, Moberly, Mo., and Elise and Colin Hartung, Seymour; his former wife, Nancy Louden Ketchum, Moberly, Mo.; and a brother, Thomas J (Patti) Ketchum, Quincy, Ill. A gathering of family and friends was held in Moberly on Oct. 19. A funeral Mass was held at St Pius X Church in Moberly on Oct. 20. Cremation rites were accorded.
