James "Earnie" Kidd 
1937 - 2008 

James "Earnie" Kidd, 71, Bedford, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at White River Lodge in Bedford.
He retired from Thompson Electronics in Bloomington after 36 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Born Oct. 2, 1937, in Wayne County, Ky., he was the son of Harley and Pearlie Thompson Kidd, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Kidd, Oolitic; two sons, Greg Kidd, Oolitic, and Mike (Rochelle) Kidd, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; five grandchildren; one sister, Dottie (Melvin) McCullough, Seymour; and one brother, Gola (Mary Jane) Kidd, Bedford.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Goldman Estel, Leslie, Hobert, Melvin, Novel and Lester Kidd, and three sisters, Arie Rush, Ada Rider and Wilma Kidd.
The Rev. Bob Phillips will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. today at Cresthaven Funeral Home, Bedford. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 33.
Burial will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
