Seymour Daily Tribune March 18, 2002 Evelyn R. Kipper Evelyn R. Kipper, 84, North Vernon, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Jennings Health Care, North Vernon. Mrs. Kipper was retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Jennings County Senior Citizens. Born July 8, 1917, in Jennings County, she was a daughter of John Shulthies and Lena Schneider. In 1938, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, she married Clarence Kipper, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Richart and Susie Davis, both of North Vernon; three sons, Don Kipper, Leroy Kipper and James Kipper, all of North Vernon; a brother, Charles Shulthies, California; two sisters, Theresa Hill and Alvera Zink, Dayton, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie O’Neal and Rosetta Shulthies, and two brothers, Arley Shulthies and Elmer Shulthies. The Rev. Herman Lutz will conduct services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, North Vernon. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, North Vernon. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Chapel, North Vernon. A rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
