Seymour Daily Tribune Emma "Curly" Marie Wilson Kriete September 5, 2006 Emma "Curly" Marie Wilson Kriete, 83, Madison, died at 4:51 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at Angola. Mrs. Kriete was a 1940 graduate of North Vernon High School, she worked for the Southwestern School Corp. as the food services director for several years until 1964. She then was employed as a secretary for the former Conn Organ Co. in Madison and later served as the secretary and office manager for Kriete Livestock and Kriete Real Estate. She had been a member of the former Madison Country Club for many years and a faithful member of the Faith Lutheran Church, where she had served as organist. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and enjoyed golf and was an avid bridge player. Born Sept. 27, 1922, she was a daughter of Emmerson Orvine Wilson and Edna Mae McFadden Wilson, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 26, 1941, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, she married Harlan F. Kriete, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Harlan William (Donna) Kriete, Angola; the Rev. Robert L. (Nancy) Kriete, Union, Mo.; one sister, Georganna Wilson (Mel) Parlo, Fort Meyers, Fla.; one half sister, Nancy Jane Bartlett (Byford) Sharp, North Vernon; one half brother, Jack Lee (Nora) Bartlett, Scanfield, Miss.; four grandchildren, Susan and Jason Hosford, Andra and Matt Millard, Gregory Alan and Leslie Kriete, Matthew Aaron and Niki Kriete; six great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Jeffrey Hosford, Anna and Mark Henry Millard; Connor and Jenna Kriete; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a stepfather, Russell Bartlett and one half brother, Harold James "Jimmy" Bartlett. The Rev. Jeff Pfug will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Madison. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
