Seymour Tribune - July 19, 2009 Patrick Leslie "Pat" Laraway Patrick Leslie "Pat" Laraway, 62, of Seymour passed away at 1:14 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, at Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mr. Laraway was born on March 21, 1947, in Seymour, the son of William A. and Mary A. Dean Laraway. He was a 1965 graduate of Seymour High School and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, retiring in 1988. After retirement from the military, Pat drove trucks for five years for UPS and Werner Trucking. He loved lock smithing, macrame, fishing, gardening, woodworking and making clocks. He was a member of American Legion Post 89, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 and the Seymour Fraternal Order of Eagles. Pat is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Michael) Laraway Cunningham of Limon, Colo.; a son, Brenton Patrick Laraway of Arvado, Colo; four grandchildren, Zev and Morgan Cunningham and Colton and Madison Laraway; a niece, Penny (Dennis) Hamilton of Jamestown, Tenn.; and three nephews, Jerry Laraway of Indianapolis, Terry (Debbie) Laraway of Sunbright, Tenn., and Scott (Donna) Laraway of Indianpolis. His parents and a brother, William Dean Laraway, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Michael Seany officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery after the service by American Legion Post 89, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour.
