Seymour Daily Tribune May 15, 2002 Warren Lawson Warren “Bud” Lawson, 81, Medora, died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Lawson worked for the Jackson County Highway Department for several years before retiring, and Philco Bedford for 16 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Born March 19, 1921 in Jackson County, he was a son of James H. Lawson and Fannie Booker Lawson, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson Lawson; two sons, James K. Lawson, Medora, and Michael J. Lawson, Nashville; four daughters, Melodie L. Helton, Marsha K. Gahimer and Sharon S. Post, all of Medora, and Delema A. Brittain, Norman; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rosie Davis and Mildred Greathouse, both of Medora, Thelma Fox, Columbus, and Jean Loesch, North Vernon. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, April Helton; and three sisters. The Rev. Mark Upchurch will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will be at Dixon Chapel Cemetery, Lawrence County. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home. The Crothersville VFW Post 1083 will conduct graveside military rites. Memorials may be made to Hoosier Upland Hospice, through the funeral home.
