Seymour Daily Tribune May 17, 2002 Edward M. Leavy Edward M. Leavy, 62, Seymour, died at 9:34 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2002, at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Leavy worked for 10 years at TWA in Chicago. He then worked 10 more years for Bolander Construction and two years at S&K Menswear in Seymour. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Ingnatius High School and attended Loyola University, both in Chicago. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour, American Legion Post 89, Moose Lodge 1958 in Carpentersville, Ill., and was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Chicago and St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Carpentersville. Born Jan. 28, 1940, in Chicago, he was a son of Russell M. Leavy and Margaret M. McCauly Leavy, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, Timothy E. Leavy, Shawn C. Leavy and Jacob M. Leavy, all of Seymour; three daughters, Julie (Rick) Roberts, Pisgah Forest, N.C., Kate Lynn Leavy, Arlington, Texas, and Tina (Jack) Wright, Seymour; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Heather, Nicholas, Cameron, Austin, Shane and Susie; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Leavy; a brother, Russell Leavy, Blue Island, Ill.; and a sister, Margaret Rita Leavy, Midlothian, Ill. The Rev. John Hall will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m. today at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour. A private burial will be conducted in Illinois at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, Seymour, or the American Cancer Society through Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour.
