Seymour Tribune - October 14 Doris Elizabeth (Tatlock) Lee 1917 - 2009 Doris Elizabeth Lee, 92, Tampico, passed away at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at the University of Louisville Hospital as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Lee played basketball at Tampico High School, where she was a 1935 graduate. She worked in Indianapolis for the Department of Defense during the war making instrument panels for combat airplanes and also worked for Book Walters binding books and made crayons for Crayola. She was a member of Russell Chapel Church, Jackson County Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary 89 in Seymour and the National Rifle Association, and was the caretaker of Russell Chapel Cemetery for numerous years and was a blood donor for most of her life starting during the war. Born Oct. 2, 1917, in Mt. Sidney, she was the daughter of Kerry and Amanda Margaret Yount Tatlock. On March 19, 1938, in Danville, she married Otis Arley Lee, who survives in Tampico. Other survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Neukam, Seymour; two grandchildren, Richard Lee Bedwell, Seymour, and Kimberly Sue Browning, North Vernon; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh Scott, Seymour, Michael Richard Burrell, Seymour, Tara Lee Bedwell, Crothersville, Jessica Lee Ann Browning, North Vernon, and Ashley Elizabeth Browning, North Vernon; and two great-great-grandchildren, Rylan Joseph Burrell and Ethan Michael Scott; three brothers, Donald (Betty) Tatlock, Seymour, Robert (Jean) Tatlock, Tampico, and Melvin Tatlock; and a sister, Helen (Joe) Harbin, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Lee; a grandson, Russell Ray Bedwell; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Marie Burrell; and a brother, Gerald Tatlock. The Rev. Brian Lanning will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Russell Chapel Cemetery with a ceremonial dove release conducted by Adams Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
