Seymour Daily Tribune December 24, 2006 Robert Lewis Linney Robert Lewis "Bob" Linney, 74, North Vernon, died at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Mr. Linney was a graduate of North Vernon High School and was a member of the National Guard. He retired from Elder-Beerman after working as a sales associate for five years. Before that, he worked for Black and Decker for three years at the Edinburgh Outlet Mall; before that, he was an Elder-Beerman sales associate for one year; before that, he was a sales associate at Lowe's in Columbus for two years; and before that, he worked at Cummins Engine Co. from 1950 to 1985, retiring in 1985 as an engineering specialist. He also managed Pasquale's Pizza in Columbus from 1984 to 1986, was involved with flea markets from 1986 to 1996 and owned Bo'Ja's Collectables in Columbus. He was a member of Hartsville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and First Christian Church in North Vernon and was a former member of the Diesel Workers Union. He enjoyed flea markets and remodeling houses and was a proficient handyman. Born Aug. 22, 1932, in Salvisa, Ky., he was a son of William Bradford and Lila B. Taylor Linney. On Nov. 27, 1974, in Columbus, he married Jane Bosnyak, who survives at North Vernon. Other survivors include three daughters, Debbie Collins, North Vernon, Linda Sue Miller, Edinburgh, and Vickie Lynn Luedeman, Norman; a brother, Benet A. Linney, Frankfort, Ky.; five grandchildren, Kelsie Collins and Tyler Collins, North Vernon, Janet Michelle Long, Columbus, and Bobby and Travis Luedeman, Indiana; and several great-grandchildren. The Rev. Charles Carter will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
