Seymour Daily Tribune May 14, 2002 Gilbert E. Linn Gilbert E. Linn, 64, Columbus, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Linn was a 1955 graduate of Columbus High School and retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Lutheran church. He was an avid card player, fisherman, gardener and helper of people. Born July 22, 1937, he was a son of Eugene and Ruthie Glassco Linn. On March 2, 1975, he married Dorothy L. Meier and she survives. He also is survived by two sons, Mark Linn, Hendersonville, Tenn., and Robert Linn, Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, John Linn, Columbus, and Gerald Linn, Spencer; two sisters, Carol Banks, Columbus, and Barbara Allman, Wisconsin; and three grandchildren, Lorelei Esker, Zachary Linn and Alexis Linn, all of Hendersonville, Tenn. He also was preceded by a brother, David Linn. The Rev. William Stache will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home, Columbus. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
