Little Death date September 19, 1944 Funeral services for Private Luther Little, 37, whose widow, the former Miss Estella Davidson, resides near Brownstown, will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home of the widow and mother, Mrs. John Davidson, and at 2 o'clock from the Brownstown Baptist Church, with the Reb. Linwood Horne, pastor, officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. The Brownstown VFW post will conduct military services. Friends may call at the Little home after Friday night. Pvt. Little was killed in action in World War II at Brandscheidt, Germany, on September 19, 1944. Born September 19, 1907, in Wellsburg, Ky., the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Little, who now reside at Sandgap, Ky., Pvt. Little was married February 22, 1930 to Miss Davidson at Richmond, Ky. A member of the Christian Church and Masonic Lodge 614, at Sandgap, Pvt. Little attended Eastern College at Richmond, Ky. He taught for five years at Sandgap before operating a general store there, and was a member of the board of education. Entering the service December 17, 1943, Pvt. Little left for overseas July 13, 1944. he took his basic training at Fort McClellan, Ala. Survivors include the widow; the parents, and two brothers, William Little, of Drift, Ky., adn Clarence Little, of Sandgap, Ky.
