Seymour Tribune - Aug. 15, 1955 William Lonsberry William Lonsberry Dies at Medora Residence William Henry Lonsberry, 74, a life-long resident of Jackson County, died Sunday night at 8 o'clock at his residence in Medora. He had been in failing healthe for the past year or two, suffering from a heart condition, and had been seriously ill for the past month. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, DST, from the hague Funeral Home in Medora with the Rev. George Bennett, pastor of the Pentecostal Missions Church in Medora, in charge. Burial in Weddelville Cememtery. Friends may call at the Hague Funeral Home after 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. A retired farmer and laborer, Mr. Lonsberry was born August 23, 1880, in Jackson County, the son of the late Benjamin and Rebecca Lonsberry. He was married in 1908 at Medora to the former Bertha Sons, who survives. he attended the Pentecostal Church in Medora, and during his life had made a host of friends throughout Jackson County. Besides the widow, he is survived by four children, Mrs. Ola Waskom and Mrs. Dorothy Dixon, both of Medora, Harold Lonsberry, of Defiance, O., and Hershel Lonsberry, of Seymour; and one brother, John Lonsberry, of Medora. One daughter and a sister preceded him in death.
