Seymour Daily Tribune Eric Donovan Lowman March 30, 1971 – June 29, 2006 Eric Donovan Lowman, 35, Columbus, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Lowman was a former janitorial service employee in the Columbus area. He enjoyed computers, painting, bowling and playing video games. Born March 30, 1971, in Columbus, he was a son of Rufus F. Lowman Sr., Elizabethtown, and Teresa R. Goins, Columbus, both of whom survive. Other survivors include a brother, Rufus (Toni) Lowman Jr., Naples, Fla.; four nephews, Thomas Lowman and Daniel, Michael and Mark Withers; two nieces, Samantha Lowman and Erica Withers; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Opal Lowman, Frank Goins and Betty Shimkus. The Rev. Damon Marling will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, Washington Street, Columbus. Burial will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Riley Hospital for Children, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.
