Seymour Tribune - June 1, 2007 Thomas D. Lowry Thomas D. Lowry, 54, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Lowry worked in Safety & Security at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Seymour, and also was a former employee of the old Belknap Hardware in Louisville, and a member of Vienna Baptist Church and Moose Family Center 2324, both in Scottsburg. Born July 13, 1952, in Scott County, he was a son of Clarence and Katie Evans Lowry, both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Karen L Bush Lowry; a son: John Thomas Lowry, Scottsburg; a daughter, Amanda Dawn Martin, Scottsburg; a stepson, Daryl Brewer, Brownstown; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Pearson, Paris Crossing, and Amanda Brewer, Brownstown; five brothers, Eric Lowry, Greenwood, and John Lowry, Terry Lowry, Kevin Lowry, and Brian Lowry, all of Scottsburg; five sisters, Linda McGlothlin, Martha Tellis, Joyce Broady, Sue Lucas and Katy Hutchinson, all of Scottsburg; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Vienna Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Vienna Baptist Church.
