Seymour Daily Tribune February 13, 2007 Veneta Ellen Loy Aug. 9, 1929 - Feb. 11, 2007 Veneta Ellen Loy, 77, of Scottsburg and formerly of Crothersville, died at 11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg. Mrs. Loy was a lifelong homemaker. Born Aug. 9, 1929, in Elmo, Mo., she was a daughter of Ora Edie and Grace Viola Beery Walter, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 24, 1949, in Effingham, Ill., she married Charles Edmond Loy, who also preceded her in death. Survivors include six daughters, Sharon Viola (John) Ruckman, Pekin, Vaneta Ruth Sizemore, Austin, Mary Ann (Curt) Kovener, Crothersville, Nancy Lee Mullins, Austin, Charlotte Edna Brough, Austin, and Rose Marie Brough, Austin; a sister, Della Mae Enyart, Calverton, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Loella Frede and Lorean Fern Otts; two brothers, Lowell Frances Walter and Ralph Ammon Walter; a grandson, Steven Samuel Sizemore; and three sons-in-law, DeCorsia Mullins, Vernon Brough and V.C. Sizemore. Sue Walther, pastor, will conduct funeral services at noon Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Crothersville Cemetery, Crothersville Fire Department or American Stroke Foundation.
